Rear Adm. Mark J. Fedor, National African American History Month Executive Champion, presents a gift to keynote speaker Navy Fleet Master Chief (Ret.) April Beldo-Lilley at the United States Coast Guard Headquarters’ celebration of National African American History Month at USCG HQ, Washington , on Feb. 23 2021. Beldo-Lilley was the Navy’s first African American female Command Master Chief (CMC) of an aircraft carrier and first African American female CMC of Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, among other firsts.
