Our LEAK-PROOF gutter, patented Oct. 30,1917, proves to be an unparalleled success and we feel justified in pronouncing it the best gutter of any in the market. ICKES-BR&DN HILL CO., GREENHOUSE MATERIAL 2330 Wabansia Ave., (Near Wastarn and North Ave>>') GREENHOUSE HARDWARE Chicago, ID. SAN FBANCISOO NOTES. [Contioued from patre 96.] Mrs. B. E. Darbee has returned from a six weeks' vacation tour during which little of the central part of the state was missed. She stopped in the Yosem- ite valley for about three weeks and then started on a tour through the Feather river country, exploring the high Sierras in that district. The re- turn to San Francisco was made by way of Eureka and the coast. Mrs. Darbee stated that the outing was a success in every way and she was enthusiastic in her praise of the camp outfit which was carried in the machine and added great- ly to the pleasure of the trip. It was a particular convenience this year, she said, for the crowded condition of the resorts made it impossible at times to get accommodations. Mrs. Darbee has started shipping in large volume, the majority of the stock being asters, chrys- anthemums and plumosus at present. Last week she shipped greens to Detroit to decorate the convention hall. Six acres of land in San Leandro, Cal., have been purchased by Joseph Proietti, a grower who is noted for an excellent choice of gladioli and daffodils, and he has already started to remove his bulbs from the old location between San Leandro and Elmhurst. The new farm is larger and more conveniently located and when the replanting is com- pleted Mr. Proietti will have one of the largest bulb farms for cut flowers in this district. It is understood that he paid about $10,000 for the new location. Domoto Bros, are busy with aster shipments, as are Enomoto & Co. The stock from both these establishments is in excellent shape. Plans are now being prepared by Emerson Knight, landscape
