A Air Force F-35A Lightning II from Hill Air Force Base, Utah, refuels over North America en route to Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England, April 15, 2017. The Air Force deployed the F-35A Lightning IIs, approximately 250 Airmen and associated equipment on a long-planned deployment to conduct training with other Europe-based aircraft. The F-35As arrived April 15th and will remain in Europe for several weeks as part of the European Reassurance Initiative.
