Beaming otter SCOTLAND THIS HILARIOUS IMAGE shows a cute female otter super excited to see her mate on the Isle of Mull, Scotland, on January 23rd. She is so happy to see her partner. The female otter looks like she is ready to explode with happiness. Otters as a species are flourishing in Scotland. There are estimated to be around 8,000 living in the wild. These cute images were snapped by 69-year-old British photographer Ron McCombe at Loch Spelve in the Isle of Mull. “I was about 70 to 90 feet away from them and took these images with my Olympus OM1 camera and an I00–400mm lens,” he said. “I am always very pleased to capture the funny expressions that otters make. “They have always been my absolute favourite animal. Sometimes, instead of taking pictures of them, I just sit and watch them go about their daily business, like feeding, sleeping, exploring the shoreline, and rubbing air into their fur to make themselves more buoyant. “They never cease to fascinate me.” ENDs
