Romer complex on Romerplatz, Frankfurt 2
One of the most photographed buildings in Frankfurt, the Romer complex. The Romer was Frankfurt's former town hall. This area was the centre of Germany's largest medieval Altstadt or old town quarter and was completely destroyed in 1944 during the second world war. The buildings now lining the square are all reconstructions. The photograph shows two of the city's tricycle "velocabs" in the foreground
