Kompong Pluk (Phluk) is a cluster of three villages made of stilt houses within the floodplain of the Tonle Sap River about 16 km southeast of Siem Reap, Cambodia. The approximately 3,000 people are primarily Khmer. Flooded mangrove forest surrounds the area. During the dry season, the houses stand as much as 20 feet high and are built of bamboo and other wood. During wet season, boats are used to travel between houses.
