The Prize Taker grows always to a perfect globe shape, with bright straw colored skin; the necks are very small and the onions always ripen up hard. It is a most excellent Onion for the market gardener and cannot be i-urpassed for the home garden. Our seed is the genuine Amei'ican grown, and must not be confounded with the imported Spanish King. Of distinct oval-ronnd shape, weighing from 'ZVz to iVi lbs. each, with capacity of still larger growth un- der extra cultis^ation. Skin dark red in color: flesh white or very lighi; rose-colored; flavor very mild and sweet; a good keeping variety. It grows best in loamy, heavy soil, and must be well worked.
