October 30, 2012, New York, NY, US. The day after the "superstorm" Hurricane Sandy hit New York, the city assesses the damage. People were up early in the morning surveying the scene in Brooklyn Heights and the DUMBO neighborhood. Water in DUMBO's waterfront area reached a height of about four feet in some places, flooding buildings and streets and leaving debris strewn throughout the area.
