INDIAN OCEAN (Dec. 1, 2016) Marines attached to the Aviation Combat Element (ACE) assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 163 (Reinforced) examine their targets after a flight deck shoot aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Somerset (LPD 25). Somerset is deployed with the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group to support maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
