At noon Sunday the rain began and it fell for three days. Fortunately, Canton es- caped the storm and had no damage by the flood to speak of, being eight miles from the river. Massillon, eight miles distant, suf- fered a big loss from the flood. The Brown Floral Co., for the relief of the flood sufferers, donated March 29 their entire two days' cut of carnations to the Flower Mission ladies, who re- alized $300 from their sale. The sum was turned over to the relief treasurer. As an appreciation of the good work done by the young ladies, they were banqueted April 3 at the Courtland hotel by Mrs. Brown, assisted by Mrs. M. C. Barber, a sister of the late Mrs. William McKinley. The flower decora- tions were elaborate. BOCHESTEB, N. Y. The Ladies' Auxiliary of the Eoches- ter Florists' Association met at the Pinnacle Club April 1, with Mrs. A. Bapalfe as hostess. The sum of $10 was contributed to the Ohio flood fund. Mrs.
