A 1000-year old Ancestral Pueblan granary ruin on Aztec Butte in Canyonlands National Park, Moab, Utah. Originally used as storage granaries for the corn and beans raised on the mesa tops, these granaries were built in small alcoves on the cliff face overlooking the deep canyons below. The sun lights this ruin only near sunset for only two weeks each year around the summer solstice.
