Chicago Board of Trade Building at the head of LaSalle Street and Chicago's financial district. The building was completed in 1930 and was the tallest building in Chicago until 1965. The art deco structure, designed by the famed arcitects Holbird & Root is both a Chicago Landmark and a US National Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is topped by a three-story statue of Cerus, the goddess of agriculture (grain).
