This model was part of General Motors' major redesign following World War II and known as the Advance Design series. It ran on one of these three engines: 216 cu in, 235 cu in and 261 cu in and came with either a 3- or 4-speed manual transmission. The 1953 model was the last year for the 216 cu in engine.
