The mixture is 1 part cement, -■ 2 parts sand and 5 parts crushedrock Extraordinary care was taken to secure the best possiblematerials in making this concrete, which carries not only the streetrailway tracks, but also the paving between the rails and one ide the rails. The crushed rock was selected after an examina-tion of all the quarries within five miles of the city and is the hardestmaterial found. Clean, sharp sand was secured by excavating the. Equipment. The passenger equipment includes 10 Brill convertible cars and10 closed cars. The convertible cars are ,?o ft. 8 in. long and 7 in. wide. The closed cars are 29 ft. 5 in. long and 7 ft. 2 in. have recently been received from the John Stephenson 14-bench open trail cars of the type illustrated. The seating capacity of the cars is 70 passengers, the scats being
