The molasses is added because it attracts the beetles and makes the spraying more effective. Stirring the soil beneath the ^^nes about the middle of June will destroy many pupa^ in their cells. White Grubs (Lachnogtcrna spp.) Strawberry plants often are sc^-erely injured by white, thick-bodied grubs which the roots. Entire sections in large strawberry patches may thus be killed out. Tills is the same pest that attacks the roots of corn and other field.
