Roasted thick millet bread, Rotla, on hot earthen pan placed on hand built wood burning clay stove, ready to be served hot.


Rotla are eaten with crushed garlic and red chilly chutney, with yogurt and dry vegetable curry,. In Kutch (Gujarat) rotla are made with crushed green fenugreek (methi), minced green chillies with coriander cumin and turmeric, which has exquisite taste. A breakfast or snack of rotla and milk with honey is simply wonderful and considered to be a very healthy diet.
