The weather the past week has been very unfavorable and as a conse- quence trade has fallen off consider- ably and with a few exceptions stock is very plentiful. Mrs. Francis King and American gladioli are fine and aie arriving in very large Muantities, liut are not bringing the jjrices that they should. Orchids are a tritie more plentiful but the demand still holds up and there is no {surplus to speak of. American Beauty roses are line and are bringing good prices. Asters have improved considerably in quality but are not yet up to the standard. White roses are also a lit- tle more plentiful and some choice White Killarneys are now obtainable. Killarney is also in grand shape and the demand for Mrs. Aaron Ward roses is much better. Rhea Reids are arriving in much larger quantities and there is also a good supply of My Maryland, Prince De Bulgarie and Ra- diance. Daisies have seen their last days but dahlias are now in and lilies are seen in abundance everywhere. Indoor carnations are arriving and the first chrysanthemums, Golden Glow, made their appearance on August 10. They are very good for so early in the season and are bringing $ per dozen. Greens of all kinds are plenti- ful and smilax and adiantum are very good. Lily of the valley is improving in quality and is having a fairly good call. The wholesale stores have all been redecorated and everybody Is making preparations for the big con- vention. The visitors will find a trip through the great central cut flower market very interesting and will re- ceive a royal welcome from everyone. NOTES. The following local concerns will hav
