Rubber latex being collected from Rubber Tree, Hevea brasiliensis, Rubber plantation, near Medan, Sumatra, Indonesia, Asia

Most natural latex used to create rubber is from the Para rubber tree. The trees are tapped three or four times a year and the milky sap is collected in cups attached to the bark. The process does not harm the tree.
