La Lanterne: P'tit Mi


Known as the father of the modern poster, Jules Chéret (1836 – 1932) was a French painter and lithographer. He worked on everything from theater to advertising. A tender and romantic image advertising a novel in which a blonde in a light pink dress, has rested her red parasol to one side in order to be better suited by her suitor, against a pale blue background.
