ATLANTIC OCEAN (Jan. 16, 2020) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 1st Class Sidney Gutierrez, from Miami, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) air department, signals while directing an E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, assigned to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 20, during flight operations. Ford is currently conducting Aircraft Compatibility Testing to further test its Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch Systems (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG).
