GROUP CAPTAIN STEVENS, OBE. - Group Captain ERNEST H. STEVENS, OBE., Deputy Commander of the Allied Air Force in Norway, is a lawyer by profession and has a practice in Edinburgh. At the outbreak of the war Grouap Captain Stevens was a squadron leader commanding the City of Edinburgh fighter squadron of the Auxiliary Air Force which, on 16th October 1939, shot down the first enemy raider in the first air attack on Britain - that on naval units in the Firth of Forth.
