Marl-borough specially recognised its gallantry at Blenheim; and at Ramilies (with theScots Greys) it captured two French battalions, for which it, like the Greys, wasallowed to wear Grenadier caps. It was disbanded in 1798, after good service,on the discovery of a plot by new recmits to murder the officers and loyal men.
