The fortress sits on land once given to a brave and loyal warrior who assisted the Maharana of Mewar during the Moghul insurgency. Neglected for decades, Devi Garh recently regained her former prestige as the most outstanding restored heritage hotel in Rajasthan. Very Zen, the hotel blends contemporary swank with archaic grandeur, and 400-year old wall murals with seamless white marble furniture, terrazzo floors, brilliant yellow sandstone, selective features studded in semi-precious stones, raw cotton and a splash of silk.
