It contains but a small percentage of the paraffines and olefines correspond-ing to the formulae C7H16 and C7H14, respectively, and the offensive and irritating properties of thecrude oil have been carefully removed. In the process of purification, no acids, alkalies, or otherchemicals are employed, and no injurious additions of any kind are made to the natural product.
