The plant is entirely hardy in any location, and a hum pro- fuse yielder. ripening an enormous crop of fruit in July and August, and more or less all the time up to November. In quality the trait is called good, though not so finely flavored as either the Strawberry or Raspberry, but quite as good as most Blackberries. It is very line when cooked, and makes a jelly which has a unique flavor, and is superior to the jelly of any other fruit. In habit of growth the plant is distinct from both the fruits named. The root is perennial, throw- ing up shoots, which arc covered with its large, beautiful berries the whole summer, from eariy in July until freezing weather, rendering it a per- petual bearer.
