The monuments of the site of Dhashur were the royal necropolis located in the desert on the west bank of the Nile. The Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid were built by the pharaoh Snofru who lived from 2575 to 2551 BC, and who was the first ruler of the 4th Dynasty.
