The Easter display of the Paquetstore, a sectional photograph of whichaccompanies this article, was made upof hams and bacon received from thissource and the illustration shows withwhat skill these appetizing viands weredisplayed to bring out the best pointsof the hams and bacons for which theschool is becoming favorably known, and to tempt the palates of the citizens ofQuebec City and the surrounding dis-trict which is served by the store. The display occupied a very consider-able section of the large grocery de-partment of the store and the demon-stration booth was the centre of inter-est to everyone entering the was something that caught the eyeand at once registered an impression, which in a measure accounts for thesuccess of the raised at the experimental farm. Theselittle animals were very evidently a nov-elty to many Quebec people and werethe cause of a great deal of discussion, some people being confident that theywere some species of hare. This Easter display illustrates only-one of the novel ideas with which thePaquet Company draws attention totheir grocery department. One time itis a fruit display with some novelmethod showing and demonstrating theuses of the fruit, or itmay be a flour sale, but there is always theeffort to provide some-thing a little differentto catch the attentionof the public and toarouse an interest inthe department. In theparticular instance re-corded above this ob-ject was certainly at-tained. The photo shows thestore arrangement of one part of the Grocery Department of the Paquet Companyduring their Easter display of Made in Quebec goods. The booth was lavishly decorated. Itscentre was a pedestal of pails of lard, pyramids of ham and glass jars fill
