Truman (CVN 75), discusses the first 3-D printed metal part for installation and use on a Navy aircraft carrier with Truman Commanding Officer, Capt. Nicholas Dienna, left, and Naval Sea Systems Command Chief Engineer and Deputy Commander for Ship Design, Integration, and Naval Engineering, Rear Adm. Lorin Selby, during a presentation ceremony aboard Truman. The piping assembly, manufactured by Huntington Ingalls Industries, will be installed and evaluated for a one-year period.
