PACIFIC OCEAN (March 28, 2018) Capt. Dennis Jacko, from Sayreville, , commanding officer of San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Anchorage (LPD 23), monitors a simulated maritime reaction force visit board search and seizure (MRF VBSS) exercise on the bridge. Anchorage is underway with 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) for an amphibious squadron and MEU integration (PMINT) exercise. PMINT is a training evolution between Essex Amphibious Ready Group and 13th MEU, which allows Sailors and Marines to train as a cohesive unit in preparation for their upcoming deployment.
