Christ Church Spitalfields, in the East End of London. One of the 'Fifty New Churches' or 'Queen Anne Churches'. Built by Nicholas Hawksmoor 1714-29. Monument to Edward Peck by Thomas Dunn, the mason who built the church. Peck was a local dyer who had been active in seeking to have a church built in the area, and the inscription reads: He was One of the Commissioners for Building the fifty new Churches and in this Corner laid the first stone of this Stately Fabrick Anno 1715.
