Exterior view of the Drake House Museum, Plainfield, , April 26, 2021. The Nathaniel Drake House was built in 1746. The house served as Gen. George Washington headquarters during and after the Battle of Short Hills in June 1777 during the Revolutionary War. The house is run by the Historical Society of Plainfield.
