July 23 Do Sq. miles. .433 Do .240 ELDORADO CREEK. Eldorado Creek rises on the western slope of Pedro Dome and drainsa rather narrow valley between Cleary and Dome creeks. It has asteep slope in its upper portion. The average fall of the creekthrough the mining section is 115 feet per mile. It is about 5 mileslong and drains an area of square miles. The creek flows in anarrow, rather deep-cut channel, well lined with willows. The pay streak is on the right bank and is located from claim 7above to claim 4 below. Bed rock ranges from 90 to 122 feet below. THE FAIRBANKS DISTRICT. 41 the surface, with 10 to 80 feet of gravel. The following measurementwas made June 26, 1907: Discharge, second-foot; elevation, 930feet; drainage area, 4 square miles; discharge, second-foot persquare mile. DOME CREEK. Dome Creek rises in the Chatanika divide, opposite Steamboat andFlume creeks, and flows northward into Chatanika River. It isabout 5 miles long and drains an area of square miles. Thecreek has an average grade through the mining section of about 70feet to the mile and good values are found in its upper and lowercourses. Discovery claim is located on the right bank near the townof Dome. The creek is being worked on several claims from 7 aboveto 20 below. The pay streak is on the right bank for practically itsentire length. Bed rock ranges from 40 feet below the surface in theupper portion of the drainage area to more than 200 feet below in theChatanika fl
