White sun shining through cirrostratus and cumulus clouds sky, and reflecting in a wide, shallow sea water channel crossing a flat, wide expanse of sand beach, some way out from the coastline at Fairhaven, Lytham St Annes. The tidal range on the beach varies. A 7 metre high tide covers only a small section of beach, allowing large areas to dry out and blow in the wind. A 10 metre high tide, in contrast, will flood the beach and reach the coastline (right of shot), leaving the beach wet at low tide.
