WHITE ICICLE 27 An outstandingly popular variety for home and market garden use. Roots 5 to Sy2 inches long, slender; tapering at the tip, very white; flesh clear white, brittle, and of mild, inviting flavor. White Strasburg 39 Popular with market gardeners in the East for summer use. Roots about 5 inches long, \y2 inches thick at the shoulder, tapering and smooth. Skin and flesh white, crisp and slightly pungent. Continues in marketable condition longer than most varieties. White Turnip 25 The earliest white variety, desirable for forcing or field culture.
