The Yellow Mongoose (Cynictis penicillata), sometimes referred to as the Red Meerkat, is a small mammal. Mongoose lives in open country, from semi-desert scrubland to grasslands in Angola, Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe.
