After filling an honorablemission to England her son Samueldied Dec. 25, 1900, in Satl Lake City,after which in his memory SisterBarratt erected the Barratt Hall asone of the buildings connected withthe L. D. S. College in Salt Lake City,at a cost of ?24,000. Sister Barrattdid not long survive her son, butdied in Salt Lake City, April 14, 1902. BEEBE, Clara Woodruff, a coun-selor in the general presidency anda member of the general board ofthe Primary Association from 1904 to1927, was born July 23, 1868, in Salt. Lake City, a daughter of WilfordWoodruff and Emma Smith. She wasa student of the Salt Lake Cityschools and of the University of Des-eret. She acted as secretary of thePrimary Association in the FarmersWard at the age of 14, and servedfor three years, was president of the20th Ward Primary Association in1895-1898, and a member of the Salt Lake Stake Primary Board untilcalled to the general board of thePrimary Association, serving as sec-ond counselor from 1905 to 1925. Shewas a perfect hostess and had chargeof all special social events on theboard. As a result of her activity152,331 baptisms for the dead wereperformed by children of the Pri-mary. She was also a member ofthe Salt Lake Civic Center from April19, 1917, to 1921, serving as treas-urer and a member of the board ofcontrol. On Aug. 3, 1887, she wasmarried to Ovando
