View to Giona mountain from Parnassus (Parnassos) ski center


Giona mountain is higher than Parnassos and the 5th highest Greek mountain with an altitude of 2508 meters. Parnassos is slightly lower at 2457 meters. Parnassus ski resort is the most popular and visited ski center in Greece due to it' s versatile ski runs and its relatively close to distance to the Greek capital city of Athens. It is located at an altitude of meters in two locations, Kelaria and Fterolakka. It's construction started in 1975 and since then it has become the largest and most organized ski center in Greece with 13 lifts and 18 ski runs which comprise a 22 kilometer ski network for winter sports fans.
