Pierres Vives, Montpellier, France. Architect: Zaha Hadid Architects, 2012. Daytime exterior detail.
Pierre Vives is a new government building in Montpellier, France. Its concrete and glass forms create an extremely striking and dynamic building. Visually it sits amongst a relatively poor suburban area of Montpellier and therefore stands out from miles around. It has many purposes including housing local government archives.
