"Yellow Rambler" Agrlaia. A distinct new hardy climbing rose. The only hardy yellow climbing rose in cultivation. The fact of this new hardy climbing rose being identical with Crimson Rambler, with the exception of the color of the flowers, which are deep golden yellow, is sufficient guarantee of its great excellence. It is a production of Mr. Peter Lambert, the celebrated German rosarian, whose skill in hybridizing has given us some of our most beautiful roses. It is a notable fact that we have no hardy, yellow climbing roses, hence we look upon the introduction of this rose as perhaps more important than its renowned relative, Crimson Rambler. Apart from the many other valuable features it possesses, its abso- lute hardiness and the rare color of flowers should make it one of the most popular roses of the year. Yellow Rambler has been thoroughly tested, and our description may be relied upon, as it is the result of eight years of careful observation by the originator. It is a blood relation to Crimson Rambler. The habit of growth is very vigorous; if anything, somewhat stronger than Crimson Rambler, well established plants makins numerous shoots 8 to 10 feet high in one season. It blooms with great freedom, producing numerous large trusses of flowers, which have the same pyramidal form found in Crimson Rambler. As many as one hundred and twenty to one hundred and fifty blossoms are frequently pro- duced on a shoot, YELLOW RAMBLER, is absolutely hardy, a great and dis- tinctive feature rarely found in yellow roses. It has withstood, unprotected and without injury, a continued temperature of from zero to two degrees below. It has a strong, robust constitution and will thrive under ordin- ary conditions. The color is a deep, decided golden yellow, richer and darke
