Compton Electric Art Deco Organ that has been restored by Simon Martin of Western Super Mare, UK. In the 1930's the organ was the centrepiece of the Savoy Cinema in Stoke Newington, London, UK. It was used in accompaniment to the silent films of the time. Compton cinema organs, built by the John Compton Organ Company of Acton, were the most prevalent of theatre organs in the UK; 261 were installed in cinemas and theatres in the British Isles.
