The prepayment method of fare collec-tion, which is new on the system, is simplified by theuse of folding doors and the omission of a bulkheadbetween the platform and the interior of the car. In-stead of bulkheads, vertical enameled grab posts areplaced on each side of the car at this position. Fareboxes are not used for fare collection, but Internationalregisters are employed.
