Heis well liked in his community, and is justly re-garded as one of its most substantial residents. Inpolitics he is a stalwart Democrat, and socially isa member of Capt. William Jackson Post , G. A. R., of Middletown. 30HN E. LEEMON. .M. D., was born No-vember 27, 1871, in Middletown, which hasbeen the only home he has ever had. Hispreliminar\- education was obtained in the publicschools of this place, and he received the best oftraining from his estimable parents, J. Having by a thorough course in literature andthe sciences laid the foundation for future moreextended study, our subject entered the medicaldepartment of the University of New York a fewmonths after his graduation from the three years he carried on his studies, acquir-ing a broad knowledge of the profession, andgraduating from the university May 2, 1894, withthe degree of M.
