The cables are to have 37 strands, aggregating795,000 c, m. in cross-section, which is about equivalent in conduc-tivity to a copper cable of 500,000 c. m. The joints are to bewelded. The new feeders when installed will constitute about one-tenth of the feeder system. Last Christmas the company opened the club rooms which hadbeen fitted up for the employes of the Vine & Clifton division, andsince then has prepared plans for similar stations at the otheroperating car houses.
