To draw the corner of the mouth upwards, and makethat part of the cheek opposite to the chin prominent, as insmiling. 2. Levator Labii Superioris Alceque Nasi, Arises by two distinct origins: the first broad and fleshy, fromthe external part of the orbitar process of the superior maxillarybone which forms the lower part of the orbit, immediately abovethe foramen infra-orbitarium; the second portion arises from thenasal process of the superior maxillary bone, where it joins theos frontis at the inner canthus, descending along the edge of thegroove for the lachrymal sac. The first and shortest portion is Inserted into the upper lip and orbicularis labiorum; thesecond and longest, into the upper lip and outer part of the alanasi. Use.
