Dray Walk, Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London, UK. 9th February, 2016. English eccentricity abounded at The Great Spitalfields Pancake Race held near the Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane in east London. Teams of 4, suitably dressed up (or down) gathered to compete for the honour of becoming this year’s race champions when they ran up and down Dray Walk at the Old Truman Brewery. The Shrove Tuesday event has become an annual traditional spectacle for the past 23 years raising funds for London’s Air Ambulance.
