During the last few weeks sickness and deathhave hovered around this station to a greaterextent than we have been unfortunate enoughto experience for a number of years. This isundoubtedly due to the prevalent epidemic ofgrippe and its kindred ailments, and to theinclement, unseasonable weather that has visited this section of the country lately. It ishoped that the ground hog tradition will befully borne out by facts this year, and that theabsence of the shadow of the little weatherforecaster portends an early spring, with itsattendant improvement of conditions.
