Cartonnage, Third Intermediate Period, Dynasty 22–24, ca. 945–712 , From Egypt, Fayum Entrance Area, Meidum, Cartonnage, paint, H. cm (62 13/16 in), This cartonnage mummy case, along wtih , was excavated by John Cardwell, American Consul General in Egypt between 1886 and 1889, at the site of Meidum near modern Cairo. Both of these cartonnages represent a northern Upper Egyptian style seen from Middle Egypt to the Memphite region, and perhaps may also have been used in the Delta
