Captain George Vancouver Statue on Purfleet Quay in Kings Lynn on the Norfolk coast, UK


George Vancouver (, ) was an English navigator who, with great precision, completed one of the most difficult surveys ever undertaken, that of the Pacific coast of North America, from the vicinity of San Fransisco to present-day British Columbia. His statue stands in Purfleet Quay in front of the Customs House.
