Dr. Abdul Shayeq, Public Health Director for the Ministry of Health in Farah writes a prescription for a young Afghan girl in Farah, Afghanistan, June 9. Ministry of Health officials and coalition forces conducted a Village Medical Outreach Program at Mahajerbad Secondary School, for local village members. Many of the villagers were refugees, and they attended the VMOP because they cannot easily travel to Farah Hospital for treatment, so this outreach program was a way for the Ministry of Health officials to provide care to people in remote areas.
