Thestraight side lines narrowingdown to the base of the form aresuggestive of the hipless tight-fitting skirt effect. Another decided change fromthe old style draping stands isthe building of the sides ofthese forms and the stretching of ihv fabrics on tliese surfaces as tlic foundation of thedrapes. This idea was brought out in the first uumuuy drapes and is now introduced intoall .other types of drapes. In our Fig. 3 we show a slanting, half-round top stand with sides built down to thefloor making a form shaped like a tall slal). You have in all probability used the draping.
